Do you sell only vetted cars?
Each vehicle must pass a thorough technical inspection consisting of more than 270 parameters before it can be sold. In addition to this, Stotzem becomes the owner of the car before it is delivered to the customer and assumes all risks associated with the vehicle. And if there is any problem, you can return the car to us at any time within 14 days of purchase.
Which things do we check?
First of all, we physically inspect each car using the CarAudit service which includes 270 inspection points, VIN verification and detailed photos of any damage. Where possible, we request complete service documentation which we compare with the physical condition of the car and the records from the authorized dealers. We also compare the car with other cars on the market of a similar age and with a similar mileage. We only recommend cars in excellent technical condition.
Who inspects the vehicle?
Depending on the car's country of origin, we either use our network of authorized technicians to perform a thorough inspection, or work with local authorized centers, such as Dekra, TUV, Pirelli and others. Everything is performed in line with a standardized process and the result is compared with similar cars on the market. We only recommend cars in excellent technical condition.

Can I buy the car on credit?
Yes, you can either pay the whole purchase price of the car or choose the option of financing with a down payment of 50% of the full amount. First of all, you order and pay for the inspection of the car to confirm your interest in the chosen car. We will pass on your request, together with your chosen car details to our financial partners for evaluation. You don't have to worry about anything. As soon as we receive the result we will let you know.
I have already decided to buy the vehicle. What happens next?
If you have decided to buy the car, confirm the order. We will issue you a proforma invoice for the remaining price of the car and handle all the formalities, so that you can have your chosen car as soon as possible.

The vehicle I ordered through CarAudit has disappeared from the offer. What happened?
There may be several reasons for this. A common practice of the purchasing process is that we reserve the vehicle when a CarAudit inspection is ordered so that we have enough time to carry the inspection out, and you can then take your time to decide whether or not to buy the vehicle. In this case, the seller will stop advertising the vehicle. However, it is also possible that the vehicle was sold before we could reserve it. There may also be an outage in the listing update.
How is a vehicle inspected when it is abroad?
In all European countries where we operate, we have trained mechanics who will personally inspect the vehicle and carry out the inspection in compliance with the standardized procedure of the CarAudit certified inspection. These are experienced professionals who know what to focus on in the given vehicle, and can even detect hidden defects. We test hundreds of cars across Europe every day.
For electric vehicles, is a battery check part of the inspection?
We can detect a possible battery malfunction during standard diagnostics. Some electric vehicles can display the approximate rate of decline in battery capacity in the on-board system. However, to accurately determine it, a special diagnostic process is needed in an authorized service center, and this can sometimes take dozens of hours. Of course, each manufacturer provides a sufficient warranty on the battery (time and mileage in km), which guarantees at least 70-80% of the original nominal capacity. We recommend focusing on vehicles with a battery still under warranty.
Can I buy a vehicle without CarAudit?
Certainly not from us. Our goal is to sell vehicles in the best condition, and we guarantee their condition with a 6-month extended warranty, which can be further extended up to 3.5 years if interested. Without inspecting the vehicle’s condition, we would not be able to provide such a high standard of our services and the aforementioned guarantees.
Can I have the vehicle inspected by my own mechanic/service?
Of course, you can have the vehicle checked by a mechanic of your choice after delivery. The vehicle's condition, as stated in the CarAudit report, is guaranteed and backed by a 6-month extended warranty. If the vehicle does not meet your expectations, you have 14 days to return it free of charge – without any explanation required.
Is it possible to personally examine the vehicle in advance?
Unfortunately, due to strict procedures and security measures of the logistics center, you cannot examine the vehicle before handover. However, as with any other online purchase, you also have a 14-day return period with us. So if you don’t like the vehicle, you can return it to us without giving any reason within this period.
